Preserving this Magnificent Theatre!

Operated by The State Theatre Preservation Society, we are dedicated to nothing less than preserving this 1912 theatre and bringing our customers the best service and shows.

The State Theatre Preservation Society is a Boyertown-based non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and operate the historic 1912 theatre through a broad array of quality films, performing arts, and education, thereby enriching the cultural life of the local community and surrounding areas.

Our Theatre

Built in 1912, The State Theatre is a magnificent throwback to Boyertown’s rich history.

Powered by Volunteers.

As a non-profit, we are powered by the work of our wonderful volunteers. As dedicated as we are, they are focused on making sure our guests have the best time at our theatre.

Does that sound like something you’d be interested in? We always need more talented individuals willing to give their time. And see movies for free, of course.

Built on Donations.

While the State makes a little money on ticket sales and concessions, it takes a great deal of generosity from people giving us donations to make this work. One of the best ways that you can make a donation is to become a member. Did we mention that there’s free popcorn involved?
